Joseph's Profile

My story is a bit unique in that I know exactly the date and time of my heart valve failure. I diagnosed my own heart murmur in a hotel room in British Columbia, Canada, on Sept 28th at 6:10am Pacific Time. I went to a clinic and when you hear a doctor say "Hey Fred you gotta hear this!", you know you have a problem. Getting cleared to travel back to the states, was the first of many hurdles that I expect to encounter. I am fortunate in that I continue to be asymptomatic, am going to Cleveland for a second opinion, continue to be in good spirits and am hopeful for a speedy recovery.
