About Me (In My Own Words)
First i heard about a murmur was when i was 11 yrs of age or so then nothing again till my GP said something 5-6 yrs ago, he then sent me to a routine cardiologist for each year till the old guy retired (saw him for three yrs in a row) . I had to wait to get a new Cardiologist 16-18 months went and saw him this past june, was told by him that he needed to get me in within 4- 6 months, but during this time i also knew things where going on with my health and heart such as climbing stairs, walking fast and such things. I was getting short of breath, lite headed and sore jaw which i found out by the doctor they are all signs. I guess the biggest sign for me was one day i was in a rush to cut the grass before the rain, i started the mower and when to the back i just could not get my breath and was breathing deep i even knocked on the back door and told the wife if i drop call 911. After the grass was done it took about 10-15 min. to control my breathing. So here i am now tests all done , pre op done this week all that is left is that phone call so the new vavle is just a few weeks away. Update ... Day of surgery Wife was told valve was hardened and was below .6cm squared and barely opening and i did not have much time before it would have failed.
