Hey Everyone! My name is Ellen. I am 34 and I live in MD. When I was 19 it was discovered that I had a bicuspid aortic valve. I have been monitored once a year since then. About 4 weeks ago my doctor informed me that it is time for me to have my valve replaced. This is a very scary experience and I was very glad to find this journal community for others that are going through the same thing I am.
