About Me (In My Own Words)
Heart valve problem was spotted during hospitalization for abdominal aneurism correction using minimal invasive techniques. This was one year ago. At that time two stents were placed for artery blockage using minimal invasive techniques.
Nine and a half months later heart valve replacement was done using a minimal invasive technique through the ribs. Edward is in his early nineties but up until the aneurism procedure in good health and looking much younger than his years.
One month after the heart valve replacement Edward remains with very weak muscle control, has trouble standing and moving from the bed to a walker or wheel chair and has little control over his bowel. Some confusion is present but has lessened with the cutting back of Metropolol.
