I am 57 and was diagnosed with mitral, tricuspid and aortic regurgitation about a year ago. The diagnosis came as a total shock because I didn't have any symptoms, except for some heart palpitations. My GI doctor heard a murmur on a routine visit and suggested I get it checked out. After many tests and many opinions, I am headed to the Cleveland Clinic for valve surgery on October 20th. I am scared and anxious, but after a year of dealing with this, I am looking forward to getting it behind me.
