About Me
Fairly standard stuff,- 75 yr old feeling exhausted a lot. PCP prescribed a treadmill test that nearly did me in. Sonogram showed a need for aortic valve replacement w/ double bypass.
Bad part: After successful surgery I was in ICU for 13 days. All together I was at Stanford for 3 weeks. Overdose of anesthesia? Nobody is talking.
Good part: I feel as good as I could hope for after a year of slow recovery.
I was not prepared for the hallucinations. A week or so of non-stop LSD-type 'dreams' that left me frightened and doubting reality.
