About Me (In My Own Words)
At age 57 on routine checkup my family physician suggested an echo be performed to check on a long term slight murmur. My cardiologist performed the echo and followed up with a TEE AND WANTED TO DO A CATH THE NEXT DAY! I contacted another cardiologist friend and explained the speed at which I felt I was being rushed to surgery.Since I was having no symptoms with my diagnosis of mod to severe regurgitation he put everything on hold and had me follow up in six months with another echo.I play tennis hard twice a week, kayak, and always walk when I play 18 holes of golf with no adverse symptoms. Next month I go back for another 6 month echo and hoping all is stable..My point is don't rush into anything . Get a second opinion!
