Charlie's Profile

After living for the past 35 years with a faulty Mitral Valve, my condition began to deteriote during the past couple of years I elected to undergo Valve Surgery on October 4th 2010. The Valve was repaired under an annuloplasty procedure. While the actual surgery was a complete success, I suffered serious lung & kidney failure & was hospitalised for 25 days. After 6 months I am in good condition, having at times had the known after affects of Vertigo, Vision probems, & speech difficulties. I would hope that I could be of some comfort to those about to undertake Major Heart Surgery.
