I was diagnosed with a murmer at 12. Told I would grow out of it. Diagnosed again when I join ROTC in college. Told it wasn't a problem. Diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse at 28, immediately put on Ace Inhibitors and told to wait. At 30, the valve failed and I went into heart failure - St Jude Valve installed. Some enlargement on the left side of the heart. Some limits on cardio activity. Ticking away since 1998.
