Boles's Profile

A few weeks before Christmas, 2009, Boles was experiencing shortness of breath and tiredness walking a few feet. He especially felt these symptoms outside in the cold weather of Cleveland Ohio. Boles had a doctor's appointment in late December and reported the symptoms to his physician. The physician ordered a echocardiogram and recommended an appointment with the cardiologist. The echo was scheduled for mid January. The cardiology appt was scheduled for January 20th. Diagnosis was severe aortic stenosis. On the 21st of January Boles was hospitalized at the Cleveland Clinic. He had aortic valve replacement on January 28, 2010. Currently Boles is in acute rehab at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio. He is expected to be discharged on February 19, 2010. Boles is 78 years old. He has faced this surgery and rehabillitation with a positive attitude and good humor.
