Send Bobbie a NoteAbout Me
I was diagnosed with aortic regurgitation after getting an echocardiogram. I was told to wait until the condition worsened. I didn't have any symptoms. When the regurgitation worsened, I had an angiogram which indicated that I would also need a coronary bypass. On August 27, 2009, I was operated on by Dr. Gregory Fontana at Cedars Sinai hospital. He was able to repair my heart valve and did the bypass surgery. My recovery time has been very fast. At just over three weeks after surgery, I am able to resume almost all of the activities I did prior to surgery. I believe that I could return to work however, I do plan to wait until after my fourth week. I feel great.
