👏 Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my profile! As you may know, I am a former heart valve surgery patient. While I was lucky to get a great surgical outcome, I really struggled with so many parts of the patient journey. Before surgery, I didn't know what was wrong with me. I didn't know what my treatment options were. And, I didn't know which doctor and hospital to trust with my life. I also had a few challenges during my recovery including pain management and cardiac depression (which happens to about 20% to 30% of patients). For these reasons, I started HeartVaveSurgery.com to educate and empower patients. 20 years later, this website has helped over 10 million people from the moment they are diagnosed through recovery. I created the online Community at HeartValveSurgery.com to help patients and their support groups to connect with, learn from and support each other. With thousands of members, this online Community is really helping folks all over the world with their heart valve surgery experience. I'm very happy about that. Again, great to have you here!
