Hi Walter,
I love your basic, wise advice and recommendations.....I am very happy for you and your accomplishments so far. I am at 2 weeks post op today.....I feel pretty good considering. No real \"pain\" from the surgery; more stiffness; a little Tylenol once in a while helps. I am a huge fan of fruit and healthy choices now and going forward; it\'s the quality of the fuel we give our bodies to heal that will make the difference.
Thanks for your straigh forward updates. I find them very helpful since I am only 3 weeks behind you: It gives me a great idea of what to expect even though I have to remember we are all different.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Healthy, Active New Year!
Warm Regards,
Nancy H.

Hi Walter--
Praying you will hit that 100% mark very soon!!
Thanks for all the sensible tips you have to offer everyone. I will make sure to remember them.
I guess I may have missed your posting about what type of incision you had.....sounds like you went for the bio valve (which I will do), but did you have to have the full incision or the smaller one. How long were you in the OR for the procedure and then how long in recovery/ICU? I have heard a lot about neck and back pain after the surgery from the position on the OR table..did you have any of that?
I will be scheduling my AVR for sometime in the next few weeks and am trying to learn all I can expect with the procedure so I can be as prepared as possible. Read Adam\'s book cover to cover and everyone else\'s stories have helped.
Be well and continued progress in your recovery,
Thanks,
Nancy H.
