I was diagnosed with the same condition last Nov. I had my bicuspid valve repaired and Aorta replaced on April 23. Things have gone well for me so far. The first 2 days were the worst but I have felt better everyday. If you have any questions or would like to vent you can contact me anytime. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org
I'll check in on you and you'll be in my prayers. Hang in there your going to do great.
I had the same surgery you will be having 2 weeks ago. You will be fine and I think you will be surprised how well you will feel in a short time after the surgery. Make sure to do your breathing exercises and walk as much as you can after surgery.
Hey, Ted! Sorry you are having problems with the "Old Ticker" but chin up, old chap! I am sure you will be in good hands. Had a little scare myself Christmas Day. However all was well. Keep me posted! Say Hi to Lori for me.
Hi Theodore, I'm currently in Birmingham AL and I too have a bicuspid aortic valve. I'm being monitored by CVA in Birmingham till they tell me it's time for surgery. My suggestion to you is to consult with your cardiologist about his recommendation for a heart surgeon. Usually the doctors will be able to give you good information. Above all just make sure that you feel comfortable with the surgeon. Have courage, you will be in my prayers. Leticia
