Lawson leefe posted a note for Sherry that says:
What an amazing story! I'm the partner of another member of the heart valve surgery community, Rachel Shelley, a 26 year old lady based in the UK. We're currently undergoing a difficult period as there have been a series of unexpected complications rather like your own. She was transferred hospitals and at one point was facing the threat of amputation. She's on dialysis and is looking at a possible transplant or lvad implant.
It's great to hear you sounding so positive and able to give testament to the possibility of recovering through something like this. This is a great source if hope to me.
What an amazing story Sherry and thanks for sharing it. Really inspiring to read about how much one person can go through and overcome. And your faith in God and inner strength are something I strive for.
All the best and a very Happy New Year to you and your family!
Wow Sherry! What a story. I am so glad you are on the mend. What caused your surgery to go so wrong? With so many operations maybe we tend to forget just how serious open-heart really is...I'll keep you in my prayers.

Just read your entry in the journal. Time really does fly by! Hope you're doing well. You are still in our thoughts and prayers. You have really had your share, but God has been by your side during complications. Continue on the road to recovery. God bless you and your family.
I talked to Elise yesterday and learned of the unexpected complications. All The Well women will be praying for you as you recover. I know God has you in His hands and loves you more than we can even imagine.
God is certainly in control of this entire situation! This is evident over and over again! I have read through your notes and am convinced God is using you to tell a story, to be the encourager, and show Himself to others through your testimony! Rick and I are praying for you and know you are in His hands. love to you~ Kathie and Rick Ramsdell
