Hi Maron. I saw that you were having surgery with Ed Verrier at the University of Washington. Can you tell me if you were impressed with him and his work? Would you select him again? I'm going to be having AVR this year sometime and am trying to decide between him and a Swedish Hospital surgeon. Thanks for your input on this.

Hi Maron, Not having a surgery scheduled just yet, I'm a little behind the rest of you so I don't have much to share regarding a surgical experience but I'm here to support my heart brothers and sisters as I learn about the experiences. I look forward to getting to know you more.

Marone, I know this must be frustrating for you. It will all work out. What grade do you teach? I basically teach preschoolers. I am director and owner of a Early Learning Center. We offer a great teacher to child ratio. I love teaching and will be so excited when I return. I talked with one of my students the other day and he said,"Ms. Mary is your heart bigger,?" I told him I do not think so, that he asked a great question. I told him it is much healthier now. He said that's good because your the best teacher. He said, I love you and am praying for you. I was so touched by this little guy. So think of all good things and enjoy each day. I would recommend getting the surgery done sooner than later. I feel so much better already. Have a nice night! 🐢

Maron, I can totally understand that you are exçited about postponing of surgery. I would let your cardiologist and surgeon know how you physically are feeling. Sounds like you should have surgery done asap. You will feel so much better after your surgery is completed and your home sweet home. Our heart community is there for you so remember to keep in touch. Stringing you butterfly hugs, Eskimo hugs and wishes for a smoother journey for you and unit family and prayers. Hello Maron, Hello my name is Olga. Welcome to this site. Like Terri said this is a great site for support. I remember when I was told I was going to have heart surgery I felt alone till I found this site. I find it great talking to other people that is going through the same as me. Just last Tuesday I got my Cathetazation to prepare me to go for my Heart surgery. They did the catherazation to see if my arteries are clear so they can do the surgery. All is clear so now I am waiting for my Cardioligest to call me in a couple of weeks to give me a date for my surgery. It will proberly be in the next 3 month. I am glad the TEE went well. I never had that before. Take care. Hope to hear from you soon.

hi maron i have heard from a lot of people to get it done sooner than later i have been trying to put it off but i think i feel the stenosis getting worse so i am going to have to grit my teeth and get it done i am very scared of heart surgery i wish you all the best in this heart journey we all are faceing steve

Hello again Maron. I just posted to you and forgot to mention that I am 65 yrs. old and live in Manteca, Ca. I wanted to add that when it comes time for your heart cath or any other tests that you might want to hear about this is a great place to find opinions and answers. If you are like most of us it is nice knowing you are not alone and that the support you will find here will be of great comfort and strength. so take care and I look forward to reading your posts in the future and will be posting in my journal soon after my surgery about my valve replacement on the 20th. Hello Maron and welcome to the heart community where you will be in touch with many heart sisters and heart brothers as you go! I don't know what VSD, sub-aortic stenosis is. I do know about aortic stenosis as this is what I have and will have replaced on Aug. 20th. As you will learn in this community there are no questions to small or trivial to ask and many people willing to help in any way they can. I wish you luck and best wishes on your heart journey.Terrie
