Hi Kimberly,my name is Sara I live a little north of Atlanta.I'm glad to hear you are doing well.I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with mitral, tricuspid regurgitation.since then they have added the aortic.I have been to 3 cardiologist. They all say I just need to exercise more.If I had the energy and could breath ok That would be great.
I stay so tired and feel like I can't get enough air.Everytime I go to Dr. He puts me on a different med.The one I take now causes my bp and heart rate to drop too low.I can't understand why they will not just fix the problem, then maybe I could have a chance of a normal life again.

You're beautiful, Kimberly. And thanks for reminding us that February is Heart Month. How could I have missed that when Feb. 14 is Valentine's Day! Duh! I've sure got a good reason to celebrate it this year--more so than ever. A big hug to you!

Kim I appreciate your sharing your praises of GOd with us. " Wait expectantly for GOD's blessings" Hebrew 13 vs 5. Once more my prayers have been answered. OHS for mitral valve repair July 11 but pulmonary pressure returned I learned last Oct and I was diagnosed with PAH...a frightening disease with not cure however I was considered a responder to nitre oxide which meant I had the chance of being able to take a pill, Norvac and it would help. Yesterdy I had another right heart Cath after being on the medicine 6 weeks and it showed my PAH is right smack in the middle of normal. Only a small percentage of PAH patients respond - 2% or less - GOD once more has blessed me - it was HIS blessing me - it was a miracle. I like you feel so undeserving of the blessings he has bestowed upon me - I want to give back and to others what He has given to me. Thank you for doing that. I just want others to know what prayer and praise does - it brings about miracles. Bless you.

Dear Kimberly, I am so grateful that I found this website and read your story. We serve an Awesome God and I know that nothing is too hard for Him. That is what keeps me going as I near my surgery date (2/13) I'm praying that the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will fill me as I near the date and throughout my recovery. I too have a loving and supportive family and many prayer warriors. God Bless you

Kimberly. thank you so much for being an inspiration. I love reading your post and praises to GOD and the positive attitude you convey. I also had OHS for mitral valve repair July 2011. I have been so blessed and I too know I am in the palm of GOD's hand. I recently had a stumbling block in that I discovered I have Pulmonary Hypertension in spite of my repair. They don't know why this happens sometimes after mitral vale surgery but although it is rare it does happen. I went through a few dark weeks but did alot of praying and getting into His word and trusting He had my life in his hand - He had brought me through so much already I just knew as the song says "He will bring me through or give me the strength to go through" Well when I finally went to the pulmonary specialist he said I was very Lucky (no I said blessed) I was what they call a responder, he has 200 patients he is caring for with PH and only 1 other man and myself are responders - meaning I responded to the nitrate oxide (and there is a reg blood pressure pill (Norvac) that I can take. I will have another rt heart cath after being on this pill for 3 months and we will see if it is working for me. "GOD has a plan for me, and it is for good, not bad" Thank you for your inspiration and you are so right, doing for others is the best cure for depression and it is giving back for all the blessing GOD has given us. Have a healthy and blessed New Year

Kimberly, you are the best. God is good all the time, even when things are not going our way. He is always with us and will not forsake us. He is our healer and uses many doctors to prove it. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
question are you related to the Goodloe on the Weather channel. I think his first name if Paul? Just wondering. God bless you and yours.

You are a wonderful role model! Thanks for posting such a positive journal. Optimism and gratitude are most impressive when the challanges are great. All the best to you.
Thank you for your posts expressing your faith and reliance upon God. That encourages me, as well. "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." Now I need Him more than ever as I face a catheterization on 3/5 (anaphylactically allergic to the contrast dye so starting Prednisone on 3/4), and open-heart surgery for Mitral Regurgitation, tricuspid leaking, and an aneurysm. I had severe vomiting reactions to general anesthesia for a prior surgery, so I'm praying that God will control of all these needs. I believe there is nothing that happens that I won't be able to handle as long as I am in His tender care.
I pray you are recovering and and healed and strong in the Lord!
Hi kim, amazing story I just had a pacemaker placed may 29 at Emory hospital..been doing good so far... i live in albany,ga which is 2hours away....feel free to email me sometime at dennard.Stephanie@Yahoo.com
Hi Kimberly...good to meet you. I just wanted to say what a wonderful testimony you are for those of us still facing surgery and those recovering from surgery. I am sorry you have had a difficult journey, but we know that it is part of God's plan and it is for the greater good. Difficult to accept sometimes, or at least for me it is, wondering how bad is it going to be? But I know that if God has brought me to it...He will bring me through it. Thank you for sharing with us on HVJ.
Hello Kimberly, I have truly been blessed by reading your journal. I love the fact that you have continued to put God first in the mist of life trials. I will continue to pray for you and your beautiful family. Remember that God said that in our weakness, he will be our strength. This verse has gotten me through many rough trails. I love you and may God continue to bless you and your family. Gloria
Kim, keep those positive thoughts and inspirations coming - I am having mitral valve surgery July 12 and I am working very hard to keep things positive and in GOD's hands.
Thanks you for your posts. Emilyrae Helfen
Please keep me in your prayers.
Kim, thank you for checking in and sharing your story with us. you are such an inspiration and I love the bible verses you quote. I'm 68 years young and the good Lord has been my guide for all those years - I was so blessed to have been raised in a house of faith - right across the street from the Hallwood Baptist Church - I've had the foundation always but living and studying GOD's word over the years has gotten me through so many life crisis including health and I know He will get
me through this next health challenge surgery on July 12 - thank you for prayers
Kimberly, thanks for sharing. I have "Believe" all over my house in every form I find - today I just picked up from Plow and Garden a beautiful Believe stake for my garden with a fairy on it (but I will pretend they are angels) also got the accompanying 3 package of faires (angels) - they are a rustic design, and not suppose to rust. That's my latest believe collectible-----------then you post this. You got to love it:) Emilyrae CCF on Aug 18
I just want to say "thank you" for sharing your testimony. We have spoken many times and prayed together; not one time did you complain or feel sorry for yourself. On the contrary, you go out encouraging others through Jesus Christ. You have no idea how you have blessed me. Thank you for your willingness to serve in the midst of.
Hello again Kimberley,
It was great to meet you at today's coupon event. You look the picture of health and I was so glad to hear you say God had cured you. You can't go wrong when you go God's way. May he pour his blessings out on you and your loved ones.
To my special Kimmie Pookie: I praise God for you and your spirit and courage....and just for being such a sweet and caring person. My God continue to guide you, protect you, and give you strength. I love you. Mommie
Kimberly, Thank you for posting here. I hope you continue to inspire and uplift others with your faith. My faith in GOD will be the medicine that will get me through my upcoming open heart mitral valve surgery at CCF in Aug. When I stay in His Word I stay calm, when I get off I go downhill fast.
