Hi Jenn. Glad to meet you.
See you are no stranger to pain and are again wondering when it will end, eh?
This is an area that nobody can nail down, including the doctors. What I see a lot is doctors not taking this seriously and giving you the brush off. This leaves you wondering how many more pain pills you have to take.
Have you had the area x-rayed? Have you had a chiropractor look at the area? They are experienced with body structure and may be able to pinpoint a problem or abnormal situation.
Have you been exercising to re-build that area?
I had my surgery in Kelowna and am 7 months out adn still experience chest tightness and discomfort. It looks like it may take a year to clear this up, all my diagnostic tests are fine, so who knows?
Take care and keep in touch.

Jenn, you seem to have had a bumpy ride as well.. i was the one with endocarditis after my first AVR and had a second replacement 10 weeks later with a pic line and iv antibiotics as well. I read your history and saw you had osteomyelitis. Have you had a check on that since you were treated? the simple answer though is that your pain may be a strain as they said. try taking it easy and see if it makes a difference. best to you and keep posting.

Jenn. It's me again. I totally agree/ the 2 surgeries were a piece of cake in comparison to the fevers, weakness, rashes and fatigue from the infection and those nasty antibiotics. I was out of work 12 weeks first surgery and 12 weeks second. So glad to feel "normal" again after the line came out. Take care !!!

Hi Jenn. I also had a postop infection... not in my blood but on the new valve. i had 2 valves in 12 weeks... I was on IV antibiotics as well with a PICC line... that was 16 weeks ago, now I feel good as new. I understand how hard that is being on IVs after the surgery. I was just happy could be fixed! Best to you.

Jenn Padbury That's must have been horrible, but glad u are feeling better. I went to the surgeon and said I can stop the antibiotics at the end of December and picc line can come out. I can't wait, still having a lot of discomfort from my wound, but it is looking much better, expecting it will heal over the next month. So he said he didn't want me to go back to work for another 2 mths , seems so long. Did u feel pretty weak from the infection, i keep saying the surgery was much easier then the infection. Thanks for sharing your story
