Hi Ivana, My experience is very similar, although I'm about 20 years older than you. After mitral valve repair (sternotomy) last November I recovered exceptionally fast. I believe everyone has SOME drop in their ejection fracture after surgery....at least that is what my cardiologist told me. Maybe due to scar tissue??? You had a pretty significant drop. Mine went from 63% to 52%.....so not nearly as much. I hope the medication will help. Glad you are... Read more.
