Fran posted a note for Crystal that says:
Thanks for the surprise thank you note. So nice of you. I haven't been on the HVJ for quite awhile, only when I get notices from people I still follow. Well, you had your fourth anniversary in the spring. Imagine time has gone by quickly for you too. Stay healthy, I know you count your blessings as I do.
Was looking at some old heart valve journal entries and came across yours. I assume that new grandbaby is here and you are doing lots of loving. A boy or girl and is this your first? Must be a great feeling to know you will be around for a long time to come to enjoy this new child. Post a note if you can and give us an update. Greetings from FL.
So glad you are home!! Don't over do it - you'll have to supervise Rick as he does all your chores. Myrna asks about you and how your recovery is going, she'll be pleased to hear you're home. I'll be over in a while, will phone before I come. Take care, and give Rick my best as he deals with your supervision!
And all the thanks to Mandy, Nathan and all as they kept us informed. Love Pat
Hi Crystal. It's great to hear you are at home. I thought you might get a lot of visitors in the hospital this weekend so I was going to the hospital after work tonight. I'll let you get settled in at home and maybe come around later this week? Let me know if you need me to bring anything. I'll call you before I come. See you later this week. Penny
Hello Cyrstal I am glad to hear that you are at home and enjoying the comfortable chair. I wish i could have been there while you went threw this ordeal. I hope that we will make it down there soon to see you all. i am shooting to come there in july for trevors wedding i hope. we will see how work goes and stuff. well get better soon and get as much rest as possible dont rush it.
Glad to hear that you are home. Perhaps now you can get some real rest because goodness knows there is none of that to be found in the hospital! Wishing you all the best in your recovery (even though I'm sure it won't be as speedy as you'd like) :)
Welcome home Crystal - So glad to hear they let you leave the hospital - even with those extra Rx & scars etc. Be sure to take it easy for a little while so you can be ready for that little Granddaughter - tell us more about her please. Enjoy your day & those days to come.
Sending luv & hugs
That is great news, Crystal. I'm relieved that you're out of the place you're most likely to catch something! Maybe I can bring a meal over to you guys when I come for a chit-chat? Let me know, re dietary restrictions, etc.
Hi Crystal and WELCOME HOME!!! It was so nice to wake up this morning to your news of being home for the rest of your recovery period. Very glad to hear that you are doing a lot better and we know that anything other than hospital food will speed up the recovery time :) How long are you home until you have to go back to work? I guess it's probably all dependant on your recovery progress (silly me). I didn't know that you're going to be a grandma again. Is this Mandy's second or is it nathan's first? Either way it's very exciting news and definitely something to look forward to. When is the wee one due...July___? I'll watch for you on MSN and chat with you later. Love to you from all of us on the West Coast...Jackie
Hello Crystal and Family
The best news yet. Remember reading the earlier posts after your surgery and all the concerns. It all worked out, just took rime. Time is a great healer. I am learning that as I go through my recovery with a few blips. Pray that each day will be better than the previous, but don't be discouraged if it isn't. The doctors told me it's not a steady incline of improvement but there may be some backsliding and some plateaus, but that's okay. Will this baby be your first grandchild? First or 10th, they are a blessing and a real goal for you to look forward to. Keep healing.
Thank you for your kind words but I know what it feels like to be stressed out over how you move forward from here. There's nothing like your own place for feeling comfortable in as you begin your real journey. As you've no doubt read from many of the other journals there can be some blips in the road but take heart, we do seem to eventually improve and get there.
You have had a wonderful support team and I would imagine everyone is resting up to help you get through the next stage which is going to include lots of walking and using your spirometer mixed with rests. You'll want to be well on your feet once your grandbaby comes alone. I wish you well and will look forward to seeing your journal entries of improvement. Good luck.
Hopefully some visitors will cheer her up. Getting the INR levels in range and keeping them there is critical (speaking from 14 years experience). It'll all work out and that will be one less concern for her recovery when she gets home.Am pulling for her.
Let those medical folks finish up all their magic before you go home - Everyone will still be ready with open arms when you get home. That will include me if you come thru here on the way. Enjoy your day
Sending love & hugs again
At this point Crystal just wants to get home but if the blood is too thin, it's too dangerous to let her go. Hopefully she'll get preoccupied with a few visitors and that'll keep her spirits up until she gets sprung. Tell her I wish her well and hang in there.
Hi Mandy & Crystal & Rick & Trevor & Nathan & Josee
Brilliant news about you continuing to recover Crystal! All the prayers & good wishes across the world are definitely working
I reckon pizza is one of the best comfort foods there is - so keep on delivering them I reckon, Rick
We all wish you the very best for a continued recovery and so that you get home soon
Natalie, Paul & family
Morning Crystal, Rick and kids. Thanks for all these updates Mandy we really appreciate it. It's nice to hear that Mom is wanting to slip out the back door. Just make sure she's got a bright yellow nighty on so we can find her and catch her! Hope today is an even better day Crystal. Hang in there! Love Miles, Penny Jenna and Shelby
Hope you're day was a good one - just like here in beautiful downtown MR - would be great if you could come here for some R & R - just let me know when you are arriving at the MR airport. I'll be there to greet you & bring you home with me.
Thinking of you always - your friend forever
You may have found the "back door" but if you are still wearing the pretty hospital apparel, you might want to rethink slipping out said door!! Just stay and enjoy having the "quiet" of the hospital and food served on a tray that none of your family have to clean up LOL.
Hi Mandy, your messages are so great, we know what's going on and that Crystal is making progress. My prayers include all of you during this time - you, Nathan, Rick, and of course Crystal. Dont forget to take care of yourself. Regards, Ladette
So good to hear that you're moving out of ICU - hope that you'll now be able to get lots of rest & enjoy having your family with you even more.
I also thank Mandy & Nathan for the updates - very much appreciated
Look forward to more good news tomorrow.
Have a good night & hugs to you Crystal
