More “Beta Test Volunteers” Wanted (UPDATED)
[Update: Everybody, Thanks for your quick response! I now have more than enough volunteers to help with the beta launch! Cheers! Adam]
After several months of planning, I’m finally getting ready to launch a brand new, online application designed exclusively for heart valve surgery patients and caregivers around the world.
My hope is that this free program will help folks like YOU throughout the entire surgical process - from diagnosis to recovery.

That said, I am looking for 20 more volunteers to help me “beta test” this Internet-based program. If you are preparing for surgery and interested in helping, please email me at adam@heart-valve-surgery.com.
Also, if you already signed up as a volunteer, there’s no need to email me again. You will be receiving an introductory email very, very soon.
Keep on tickin!

I am soon to go in for aorta valve replacement and major aorta repair. The problem over the years is that the aorta valve seat was/is expanding, where the valve of course stays the same. At some time, the valve can go through the valve seat and not be able to re-open. Should the mitral valve be examined/repaired/replaced at the same time. I am to be scheduled soon and heavily thinking of using the pig valve replacement. I am 62. Thanks for any input.

Adam,
My husband (41 years old) and I discovered your website about 6 weeks ago while he was in the hospital after a car accident caused by his blacking out. Although we are still not clear what caused the black out what was discovered is that he has a bicuspid aortic valve that is experiencing leakage. He ended up being diagnosed at the same time with having a slight infection in his heart, which was agressively treated with antibiotics. We have spent the six weeks since that time researching different surgical options (how we came across your site and downloaded your book), we have met with different surgeons as well. Because of your positive experience with the Ross Procedure that you wrote about, we queried that option with each of the surgeons we met with, who all steered us away from that choice. Instead my husband has decided to take the path of using a surgeon that will perform minimally invasive surgery to replace his aortic valve with a pigs valve. This has been a hard 6 weeks and surgery will be performed on the 23rd. As the caregiver (and spouse!) I have found this process incredibly challenging as there are so many different points of view and options. We are very lucky to have choices and at the same time challenged by having so many…. I am happy to be a volunteer for your beta test interenet program if you feel our situation might be appropriate. I have also sent he link to my husband but I think with all he is facing he finds it too much to consider participating in. We both feel lucky that we found your site during this journey! Thank you for all you are doing!
