Dear Adam: You are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!! Why the surprise?
There's a warm spot in all of our hearts (patients and caregivers) for you. What a difference it makes when you are all anxious and troubled, to hear from people who have gone through it all before you. . . and now are here to help you and cheer you on!

You may one day just find your name next to Mother Teresa of Calcutta! (I think) since her motto was "We cannot all do great things but we can all do small things with great love". . . or something like that. Basically, you and all who contribute to your blog are doing just that, one day at a time and one person at a time.

Congratulations on the recognition of your job well done! Mercy, mother of John.

Just in the nick of time!!! My surgery with Dr. Adams is Feb. 3rd & as you know Adam, this "waiting" time can be difficult. Some days are great ... then there are days like today when every little thing triggers a deep rooted anxiety! I've had this date for a bit over 3 months & as it gets closer it feels like it is the "hurry up & wait" game!! Hard to focus on life going on around me. I BELIEVE I first saw your book on Dr. Adams website last August ... that's how long I've been "hanging" in this odd world of upcoming heart surgery ... mitral valve repair. It is GREAT you got the recognition you so deserve for your book!! I've read it twice as has my husband. It is a sort of "life line" for us in waiting.
This positive post about my surgeon just picked me up & helped me realize it is ok, I will be ok ... just like I've learned from your book.
Congratulations to you Adam :)
