This type of surgery has been done since 2005 in the Medisch Spectrum Twente in the Netherlands. With great success. Although I believe it still being &#039;experimenal&#039;, espescially compared to the open-heart surgery, it is very promising. 
I would not however let my 74 year old dad undergo this one yet (he is / was in a very very fit person).
If you would advise differently, i would like to hear.
