NCAA Basketball Coach, Ralph Willard, Recovers After Robotic Heart Valve Repair
As I recently wrote in my blog “Trust Me… You are NOT Alone”, heart valve surgery impacts all different types of people (age, sex, religion).
Some of the most public people to have heart surgery include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rodney Dangerfield, Jesse Helms, Teppo Numminen, Ronny Turiaf.
In March, Holy Cross men’s basketball coach Ralph Willard underwent successful open-heart surgery. Willard plans to resume his full coaching duties shortly, following his recovery.
Willard’s robot-assisted, mitral valve repair procedure was needed for Willard’s leaking mitral valve symptoms. According to Telegram.com, the surgery was performed March 27, about three weeks after HC’s season ended, at the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center. Willard, 62, spent nine days in the hospital before returning home to continue his recovery.
Keep on tickin!

I am seeking any info relative to an 80 year old who faces replacing his aortiic valve in the near fuiture. Of course I would prefer Invassive Surgery method but am not sure if I would be a good candidate for that procedure.
