NCAA Basketball Coach, Ralph Willard, Recovers After Robotic Heart Valve Repair

As I recently wrote in my blog “Trust Me… You are NOT Alone”, heart valve surgery impacts all different types of people (age, sex, religion).

Some of the most public people to have heart surgery include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rodney Dangerfield, Jesse Helms, Teppo Numminen, Ronny Turiaf.

In March, Holy Cross men’s basketball coach Ralph Willard underwent successful open-heart surgery. Willard plans to resume his full coaching duties shortly, following his recovery.

Willard, 62, spent nine days in the hospital before returning home to continue his recovery.

Keep on tickin!

Adam Pick is a double heart valve replacement patient and author of The Patient’s Guide To Heart Valve Surgery, a unique book which integrates the clinical facts of heart valve surgery with the personal experiences of an actual heart valve surgery patient.
