The “Gift Of Life” For Children
Recently, I received a desperate email from a 24 year-old patient in Trinidad. After having aortic valve replacement as a young child, she needs a re-operation as her replacement valve is now failing.
In the process of trying to find her access to the appropriate medical care, I learned about the Gift Of Life International program for children requiring open heart surgery. The Gift Of Life has helped over 9,420 children during the last 30 years.
