My surgery is scheduled for April 24, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn (Long Island) NY. I would like to try the incision shield because I have a rather heavy cat who sometimes climbs on my chest when I am sleeping. I am very worried about this. I know it sounds silly. I guess it wouldn't be a problem if I can sleep on my side, post-operatively. But I don't know if I'll be able to!! If you can, would you send me a shield? Or do you have any information about sleeping on ones side after open-heart surgery? Thank you so much for all your help. I'm almost done with your book; and find it most helpful! Blessings and regards, Victoria Marino
