Incision Shield - Chest Scar Protector After Heart Surgery… FREE TRIAL!
Hey Everybody,
Quick Question For You…
I was recently contacted by the owners of Incision Shield. I have to admit, I was really impressed as I learned more about this innovative chest incision protector. Why? Well, I would have most likely used this product to avoid my own scar and chest discomfort after open heart surgery.

Luckily, Incision Shield offered me a few free samples to give out to my readers and website visitors. If you are preparing for heart valve replacement or heart valve repair surgery and would like to try this product, please leave a comment below with your contact information or you can email me.

I only have a few of the Incision Shield samples, so please let me know sooner than later.
Here’s some more information about the incision protector: The Incision Shield is a light post-operative protective device developed to eliminate incision site discomfort and irritation while healing. The Incision Shield prevents clothing and/or bedding from coming into contact with the sensitive incision area of open heart or other large chest cavity surgery. Simply worn around the neck, the Incision Shield spans the incision site and protects the sensitive incision area while patients undergo their daily activities. Its flexible design means that the Incision Shield is suitable for all patients, whether male or female.

Dear Adam,
I anticipate open heart mitral valve replacement surgery on or about Feb 5th. The only question is that I won’t meet with my surgeon until Feb. 1st. to finalize all the details. I would like to try the shield, but if there are others who could use them sooner, that’s fine. Thanks for the offer.

Adam,
If you have enough of the shields, I’d like to try one. My surgery (Ross) is Feb 12th. That would be awesome.
Thanks for the consideration,
Doug

Hi Adam, I would like to try it. Currently I am scheduled for aortic valve replacement on Feb 5th, however (even though I’ve had a flu shot) I may be re-scheduling for Mar 3rd, if my Dr. okays it. My son has been ill, and his small private high school has had a huge outbreak. Figure I should wait until everything settles down here in Texas.
Best regards, Kathy Mccain

Hi Adam, I will be recieving a double valve replacement surgery on Feb. 14 (Valentine’s Day). This will be my second open heart surgery and will be preformed over the existing scars. My first surgery was preformed when I was 21 months old. Thanks for the helpful info! Pasquale

Adam,
I am going to have aortic valve replacement surgery in a few very short days. Must say I am concerned, for sure, but my faith in the Lord is strong, and with His intervention and the surgeon’s knowledge and ability, all should go well. I would be interested in the Incision Shield, if you still have one available. I Intend to spend a lot of time on your site in the next day or so asking questions.
Thank You,
Carol

I am a 76 year old female due for aortic valve replacement and possibly
the mitral valve replacement or repair. Would you be kind enough to send me your Heart Surgery Shield?

Unfortunately, I’m now out of samples. Sorry.
Maybe we can get some more in the future?

Adam: We spoke in Nov. 07 about my redo of my Aortic Valve. I purchased your book and have learned a lot from it, thank you. My redo took place on Nov. 27 and I came home on Dec. 1. I am in re-hab and my heart is doing very well. The valve that was replaced was installed in April of 2000, it leaked after 7.5 years. It was returned to the manufacturer for analysis. The only information about the failure that I have received is that it was a statistically correct failure since some valves fail within that time period and I happen to have one. It was a bovine pericardial valve. I had a new & improved version installed this time and the surgeon feels it will perform for at least ten years and perhaps twenty. In your knowledge bank do you have any information on what specifics the manufacturer should provide to me on the failure? I have also asked the manufacturer, my surgeon, and my cardiologist about any cautions about my new valve that would help me extend the life of my new valve. None could come up with specific answers. Do you have any information on the care & feeding of a Bovine Valve? Any insight you have would be very helpful to me. I value your guidance.

Adam,
I can’t thank you enough for writing your book. It has given me so much insight into what I am about to journey into. My surgery is scheduled for May 20th. I will have a subaorticic membrane removed, my aortic valve replaced and possibly my aorta replaced. (That decision will be made during surgery) I read above that you are out of the incision shields, but if you get any in before my surgery, I would be very grateful to receive one. Sharing your experience has obviously had a profound impact on many people, myself included. Thank you!

My surgery is scheduled for April 24, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn (Long Island) NY. I would like to try the incision shield because I have a rather heavy cat who sometimes climbs on my chest when I am sleeping. I am very worried about this. I know it sounds silly. I guess it wouldn’t be a problem if I can sleep on my side, post-operatively. But I don’t know if I’ll be able to!! If you can, would you send me a shield? Or do you have any information about sleeping on ones side after open-heart surgery? Thank you so much for all your help. I’m almost done with your book; and find it most helpful! Blessings and regards, Victoria Marino

HI Adam..
My daughter had open heart surgery as an infant and requires another one in the next couple of years. She is now 6 years old and playing baseball, I’m looking for something small, but protective of her scar and sternum which didn’t heal properly and sticks out a little. Would this product help with that? She also requires a cooling vest, so would this help under the vest for some added protection?
Thank You…Renee

Hi Renee,
Nice to meet you!
Ya know, I don’t know if the Inicision Shield was designed specifically for use with active children playing baseball.
But, given the design of the shield it might just work.
Here is the website for the Incision Shield (http://www.incisionshield.com). Perhaps there is some more information there that might help you.

Hello, I am writing in regards to my 13 year old son, who just recently is recovering from Mitral and Aortic valve repairs due to bacterial endocardits. He is very active in sports and is concerned about protecting his incision. We were wandering if you could help us out with obtaining a shield for our son. It would be much appreciated. Thank you very much. Jeremy and Bobbie

Adam, just finished reading your book and found it very informative. I have aortic valve replacement surgery scheduled for next month and many of the questions I had were answered in the book. I am interested in receiving a free incision shield if they are still available. Thank you in advance.
