Open Heart Surgery Video

Hey everybody,
As you all are experiencing, the use of streaming video at websites is exploding. That said, I have been referencing a number of open heart surgery videos throughout this website. (In fact, I am even working on my own open heart surgery video to eventually post here in this blog.)

Why am I posting open heart surgery videos here in my blog? Well. I’m a big fan of sharing information and knowing what to expect.
The interesting part is that you, the patient, will have no idea what is happening during your heart valve surgery. You will be way, way, way, waaaaaayyyyy asleep.
Still, understanding the impact of your surgery on your recovery is, in my opinion, very helpful. THIS CAN ALSO BE VERY HELPFUL FOR YOUR CAREGIVERS!!!
Now.. Some people will not want to see certain elements of open heart surgery videos (e.g. the bloodiness). That is totally and completely okay!
However, other people do want to see some, if not all, of their impending heart valve repair or heart valve replacement surgery that is contained on the open heart surgery videos.
Just so you all know… I did not watch an open heart surgery video prior to my aortic and pulmonary valve replacement surgery. Quite frankly, I do not think heart valve surgery videos were even posted on the web at that time.
That said, I do find these open heart surgery videos amazing to watch! Some of the procedures take less than one hour to complete. Absolutely amazing. And, they also demistify alot of the preconceived notions about what really happens inside the operating room.
As you will note on the right sidebar, I have created a new category called “Heart Surgery Video”. Simply click that link if you would like to see any of the open heart surgery video that I have found or posted across the web.
Keep on tickin,
Adam
