Hi,

I just discovered this site. I have no experience in writing on a blog. I googled "coumadin blogs" because I am interested in getting feedback from other aortic Valve (mechanical) replacemnt patients. I had my surgery 20 years ago and have been on coumadin for all that time. I am 64 yrs. of age. I hate being on coumadin. I would love to be able to go an alternative root if that is at all possible. Whenever I try to bring this up with my physician she looks at me like I am out of my mind. I don't understand why I just couldn't eat anti-clotting foods that have Vitamin K in them. What is your opinion about this? Are there others who would love to go this route?

Adam,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Interesting site you have going here. I might point my mom to it (she's the one with the heart valve) to see what she thinks.
