More On Beta Blockers Following Aortic Valve Replacement

On the continuing commentary of “To Use Or Not Use Beta Blockers Following Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery Including the Ross Procedure”, [1] Dr. Paul Stelzer of Beth Isreal in New York comments:
“I use beta blockers in most patients for a while after surgery, but in some cases, the blood pressure is just too low. My obective is to keep the blood pressure resting level around 100-110 for the first three months and if you cant do that without medication, that’s fine with me.”
I guess this explains why perhaps [2] Ross Procedure (aortic valve replacement). My blood pressure, one year after heart valve surgery, remains quite low.
Mystery solved?
